July 24, 2014 - By: SC&H Group
Canadian provinces have been in the process of introducing and passing landmark unclaimed property legislation. As such, holders and service providers need to understand these new compliance laws – especially as these requirements impact U.S.-based businesses with operations in Canada.
The Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization (UPPO) recently hosted its UPPO Holders Seminar – Canada, which covered a wide-range of issues and insights based on these new unclaimed property laws in Canada.
Jenn Arias, a Senior Manager with SC&H Group, attended the event and has shared her insights into the topics discussed in the following SC&H Group podcast interview. She also highlights the implications of this legislation on SC&H Group clients, many of which are multi-national corporations that do business in Canada and other regions around the globe.
