Ron co-founded SC&H in 1991 after a successful management career at an international accounting firm. He is currently the CEO. With his partners, he started SC&H with a solid foundation in auditing, accounting, and taxation. Under Ron’s leadership, the firm has developed a service culture of excellence within and across its practices, which has fueled the firm’s dramatic growth, and his high standards for client service have helped SC&H acquire and maintain its reputation for expertise that works.
Today, these practices include all disciplines in Tax & Audit Services, Business Performance Management, Contract Compliance, Risk Management, Financial Advisory and Investment Banking, and Estate and other Financial Planning. SC&H also provides various specialized tax and consulting services for commercially based enterprises and non-profit institutions and foundations. He services clients in a variety of industries, including retail and wholesale distribution, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, high-tech, energy, and professional services. Ron’s legacy with clients sets the stage for how SC&H operates – a culture of service excellence within and across its practices, which often leads clients to more deeply engage SC&H.
Ron is actively involved in a variety of board positions, including the Stevenson University Board of Trustees, the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore, Junior Achievement of Central Maryland, Business Volunteers Unlimited, and Towson University Accounting Advisory Board. He is Chairman of the Hereford Recreation Wrestling Program and is the head Varsity Wrestling coach for Hereford High School. Ron is also a member of SC&H’s Executive Committee, where he oversees operations and business development across the firm’s various practice areas and service lines.
Ron graduated from Towson University with highest honors, and is a CPA licensed to practice in Maryland. He is an active member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT).
