Selecting and implementing the most effective IT solutions can yield significant improvements to an organization’s operations and bottom line. A global utility company made this fact a reality when it engaged Jeff and his team to evaluate the IT synergy of its North American operating companies’ hardware, software, services, and vendors. As a result, the team identified substantial cost savings and efficiencies through technology and function consolidation, vendor renegotiations, and process/program reengineering.
Jeff directs SC&H’s IT Advisory Services practice, helping clients apply technology solutions that streamline processes and planning cycles, detect and mitigate risk, develop accurate forecasts, and reduce capital expenditures. With more than 25 years of IT experience, his clients have included middle- and large-market clients from various industries: financial services, banking, healthcare, government, staffing, and energy.
A long-time senior IT executive, Jeff specializes in partnering with business leaders to define a company’s current and future IT needs, understand security implications, evaluate technology options, and develop and implement enterprise-wide strategic solutions. He also provides business knowledge and insight into growth forecasts and how industry changes directly impact organizations, ensuring that IT is positioned as a strategic business partner.
Prior to joining SC&H, Jeff served as the Director of IT Infrastructure for a global financial firm, Chief Technology Officer for a leading healthcare provider, and Senior Consultant for a business systems consulting firm. As Chief Technology Officer, he worked with executives to improve operational efficiency and identify opportunities for business optimization and new revenue. As Senior Consultant, he helped IT executives to develop and implement IT strategies across a wide array of technologies and platforms.
With a breadth of industry and technical capabilities, Jeff maintains expertise in a various technology areas, including IT strategy, IT ROI optimization, technology assessment and analysis, IT governance, information security, ERP implementation, enterprise architecture, data warehousing and analytics, cloud computing, and process excellence.
Jeff has served on the Cisco Enterprise Technology and Healthcare Advisory Boards as well as the Dell Platinum Advisory Board. He currently is a member of the Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum, University of Baltimore MIS Advisory Board and Loyola University of Maryland ISOM Advisory Board. He earned an M.B.A. degree from Loyola University Maryland and a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Baltimore.
