SC&H Capital's Christopher Helmrath Accepts Security Technology Institute Board Appointment

Helmrath is highly regarded as a trusted advisor to many defense industry technology companies in the metro area

BALTIMORE, Md – November 30, 2009 – SC&H Capital Managing Director Christopher Helmrath was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Security Technology Institute (STI), a non-profit, public-private partnership headquartered in Baltimore. STI's mission is to help the State of Maryland capitalize on its strategic location near many of the nation's top federal agencies by launching programs that will position the State as a global epicenter for the rapidly expanding cyber security technology industry.

Reflecting on his appointment, Helmrath stated, "I am honored and excited about the opportunity to serve on the board of STI; as someone who has worked with multiple companies in the cyber security technology space, I hope to make a large and immediate impact on the organization."

Helmrath's experience includes oversight of all M&A transactions and strategic planning while serving as Managing Director of SC&H Capital. SC&H Capital recently represented RABA Technologies, Interface & Control Systems, Inc., and Solvern Innovations in their recent sales to publicly traded firms who specialize in national defense and cyber security.  With a wide breadth of experience in this arena, Helmrath will bring depth and knowledge to his position on the board.
