State and Local Tax Webinar Series

Current Sales & Use Tax Audit Issues and How to Avoid Them

June 19, 2012
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM EST

Please join SC&H Group's Sales & Use Team in a webinar designed to heighten sales & use tax awareness and teach strategies that could dramatically lower potential sales & use tax assessments. State auditors are becoming more aggressive as falling tax revenues continue to squeeze state budgets. Vaguely worded and outdated sales tax statutes don’t always yield clear cut answers in the face of complex business structures and new methods of doing business. Heightened audit activity, and new waves of proposed sales tax legislation all serve to highlight the importance of keeping up to date in this dynamic area of tax law. Failure to do so could produce an unexpected negative impact on your company’s bottom line.

This webinar is free of charge and continuing education credits will be awarded. Advance registration is required.

Join this webinar to review:

  • The Impact of Today’s Economy on Sales Tax Audits
  • Development of Tax Assessment Minimization Strategies
  • Sampling in the Audit Context
  • Error Projection Methodologies
  • Troublesome Transactions
  • Procedural Issues

This webinar qualifies for 2 credits of CPE.
