Ronald M. Causey, CPA

Ron Causey is the Managing Director of SC&H Group. After a successful management career at an international accounting firm, where he gained a solid foundation in the auditing, accounting and taxation areas, Ron co-founded Stout, Causey & Horning (SC&H) in 1991. His commitment to both his clients and staff has fueled the firm's tremendous growth and his impeccable standards have helped SC&H acquire its world-class reputation.

Prior to his appointment as Managing Director, Ron was the Director in Charge of the SC&H State and Local Tax practice bringing a distinguished track record of superior client service. His clients covered a broad range of industries including Retail and Wholesale Distribution, Manufacturing, Defense Contracting, Healthcare, High-Tech, and Professional Services.

Some primary issues that Ron addresses for his clients include valuation techniques, refund opportunities, asset classification and exemptions, asset obsolescence, and retirement. He also advises his clients regarding personal property tax, real property tax, and sales and use tax matters.

Ron is actively involved in the community, sitting on the Accounting Advisory Boards for Stevenson University President's Council and Towson University.

Ron is a summa cum laude graduate of Towson University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed to practice in Maryland. He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
